1943 Max & Shirley Brody give birth to future Basketball Champion Tal Brody in Trenton, New Jersey The Brody family lives in Denver, Colorado. His Mom, his older sister Renee & her husband Marvin, and their three kids.
1961New Jersey State Champion Basketball Players Tal graduates from Trenton Central High School in New Jersey as a member of the Undefeated State Championship Team. He is selected for the All-State Team of New Jersey and is approached by over forty Universities with scholarship offers. 1963 Tal is a Sophomore Starter on the University of Illinois Squad that shares the Big Ten Title and reaches the NCAA playoffs. 1965
Tal Graduates and The Sporting News & Converse list him as one of
the Top Ten college basketball players in the U.S.A. He is the 13th player
picked in the NBA Draft A First-Team All-Big Ten Selection Earns
Second-Team Academic All-America Honors He turns down a chance
to play with the Baltimore Bullets and chooses to return to the
University of Illinois to finish his Masters Degree.1968-70 Tal plays for the U.S. Army & The Armed Forces Basketball Team Tal is chosen to represent the U.S. in the World Championships that are held in Yugoslavia (1970). 1995-96 Varsity "I" Award of the Year Tal Brody is honored the prestigious "I" Award as a former Top Team graduate of the University of Illinois for his many achievements and contributions to the Sport of Basketball worldwide. | |
